Amino Acids
LEUCINE
Leucine is an essential amino acid used in the liver, fat tissue, and muscle tissue. Leucine is also suspected to be the only amino acid that can stimulate muscle growth.
ISOLEUCINE
Isoleucine is an essential amino acid. It may help how hemoglobin is made. This is the oxygen-carrying pigment inside of red blood cells. It may help control blood sugar. It may also boost energy and endurance. It’s also said to help speed healing of injured muscles.
TRYPTOPHAN
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that serves several important purposes, like nitrogen balance in adults and growth in infants. It also creates niacin, which is essential in creating the neurotransmitter serotonin.
HISTIDINE
Histidine is an alpha-amino acid with an imidazole functional group. It is one of the 22 proteinogenic amino acids. Histidine is an essential amino acid in humans and other mammals.
VALINE
Valine is a branched-chain essential amino acid that has stimulant activity. It promotes muscle growth and tissue repair.
LYSINE
Lysine is an amino acid (building block of protein). People use it to make medicine. Lysine is used for preventing and treating cold sores.
METHIONINE
Methionine is an amino acid. Methionine is found in meat, fish, and dairy products. It plays an important role in the many functions within the body.
THREONINE
Threonine is an amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins.
PHENYLALANINE
Phenylalanine is a precursor for tyrosine, the monoamine neurotransmitters dopamine, norepinephrine (noradrenaline), and epinephrine (adrenaline), and the skin pigment melanin. Phenylalanine is found naturally in the breast milk of mammals.
